We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Associate in the Richburg Heat Treatment department at our Richburg, SC facility. As a manufacturing associate, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper thermal processing of metal coils and bars using computer-controlled furnaces. You'll play a vital role in manipulating the metal's structure to meet customer specifications.

As a Manufacturing Associate, you will be responsible for operating computer-controlled furnaces to precisely heat treat metal coils and bars. Create recipes with software, monitor temperatures, and maintain records. A successful candidate is required to have a strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established procedures.

This is a night shift position from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am working on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule. You will work 2 days, have 2 days off, work 3 days; then 2 days off, work 2 days, then have 3 days off. Training will take place on day shift from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm on the same rotating 2-2-3 schedule.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Stage materials and operate equipment for loading and unloading furnaces.
  • Communicate effectively with team members via radios.
  • Wire tie bundles, maintain bundle identity, and prepare materials for transportation.
  • Create furnace maps and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Calculate heat treatment times and adjust them as needed.
  • Operate and monitor furnace controls, maintaining temperatures within designated ranges across seven furnaces displayed on multiple screens.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least one (1) year of manufacturing experience

Skills:

  • IME Certification
  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication, and teamwork abilities (working effectively as part of a two-person team)
  • Prior experience operating a forklift
