Training Specialist

5A (Monday-Friday)

Job Purpose:

Provides instruction on proper manufacturing methods including, but not limited to product handling, assembly, machine operations, inspection, statistical process control, and administrative procedures. Instructs employees on specific manufacturing processes within assigned areas including quality and safety processes. Works one-on-one with assigned employees, observing their on-the-job performance and providing constructive feedback as appropriate. Performs orientations for employees new to the department, explains work rules and general procedures. The Training Specialist is responsible to effectively provide the initial knowledge and training required for all employees to effectively perform the required functions of their position. This training needs to directly meet the purpose of the organization to "Efficiently ship good products to our Partners on time every time".

Nature of Duties:

Orientation - Job Specific Orientation and Recurring Training.

Maintain all training records in the Pilgrim Database as well as hard copy records as required.

To provide documented training requirements for what is the required knowledge for each position or function at each phase of the training process.

To provide effective training for the purpose to convey knowledge and requirements to meet each position's needs.

To provide effective verification that the knowledge conveyed was understood and can be effectively applied as required by the position.

To reduce waste associated with un-required training.

To reduce waste by applying appropriate training and improving ineffective training requirements based on position requirements.

To reduce waste by providing effective verification for reoccurring training requirements and reduce or eliminate "check the box" reoccurring training.

Continually improve the effectiveness of all the above.

Maintain compliance to regulatory, process, procedures and training requirements.

Escalation path for concerns and issues with the training program or records.

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma

IPC 610, J-STD and IPC 7711/7721 certified

5 plus years soldering experience
