Job Title:Program Manager

Job Purpose:Responsible for all aspects of a program at the site, serving as the site liaison between the company and the customer to ensure customer needs are met. Ensures all program-related decisions are guided by the terms and conditions of the customer's contract. Understands all aspects required to launch a new program or order. Aleader for assigned Programs including new product launches and key enabler of continuous improvement for the Procurement organization. You will work closely with external suppliers and internal cross-functional partners in Program Management, Contracts, Operations, Engineering, Legal, Finance and more to ensure high level supply chain performance. You will manage suppliers through all phases of a product's lifecycle from contract execution, hardware design and development, ramp up through the end of production. You will act as a senior point of escalation for individual procurement contributors, assisting the drive towards a more responsive, compliant, and world class organization.

Nature of Duties:

  • Oversee one or more defense and/or commercial Lifecycle Management programs
  • Act as program liaison and primary point of contact for requests, changes and escalations between SCI and the customer
  • Coordinate the efforts of a matrixed team including product engineering, planning, test, quality, and manufacturing to meet customer/end user requirements and timelines
  • Track and analyze the financial impact of customer change orders in accordance with company standards
  • Compile and review customer and company budgets to ensure the project's cost and profitability goals are met
  • Perform cost reduction planning, pricing reviews, accounts receivable management, engineering change-order impacts, and inventory management
  • Participate in regular customer meetings to discuss schedules, serviceability of product and/or cost avoidance
  • Coordinate material procurement to meet product deadlines and minimize excess/obsolete inventory
  • Coordinating and leading collaboration meetings with all supply chain functions (procurement, planning and material control) to ensure that effective demand and supply planning is executed
  • Assistingdevelopment and execution of Supply Chain initiatives to support Government business area strategies, including improvement in efficiencies, global scaling, business capture and execution, and responsive compliance
  • Ensuring all supply chain commitments are met, plans are developed and executed, and risks are mitigated for assigned programs/suppliers. This includes assessing complex procurements and breaking them down into manageable pieces, while communicating with cross-functional teams to allow them to deliver results in a successful and timely manner

Education and Experience:

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 5years related experience. Defense and Aerospace experience desirable.
  • Previous experience in governing materials
  • Strong computer skills to include MS Word, Project, Excel and Outlook.
  • Solid written/verbal business communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both technical and non technical concepts to both technical and non technical professionals.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability/willingness to multi task and thrive in a fast paced, deadline oriented.
