This position is located at Kwajalein Atoll on Roi-Namur

Essential Functions

• Identify, analyze, troubleshoot, and assist with repairs of equipment and electrical faults.
• Complete electrical installations and carry out various maintenance duties.
• Assist supervisor with daily monitoring of the work management system.
• Develop material and labor estimates for owned projects.
• Order replacement parts and equipment as needed.
• Communicate with clients in a professional, courteous manner at all times.
• Collaborate with construction workers, plumbers, and other crew members.
• Learn from the Electrical Supervisor and complete all assigned duties.
• Travel to various site throughout the atoll to assist the Electrical Supervisor as needed.
• Adhere to safety rules and regulations in the course of their work.
• Assist in the housekeeping of the workshop and worksite to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Assist and support other departments, staff and/or trade groups as needed/directed.

Required Skills

• Ability to read and comprehend National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Organizational and time management skills to balance, plan, prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to adapt to changing situations.

Required Experience

• Associates degree or technical school; or a combination or education and experience; or experience in lieu of education
• Two (2) years experience as an electrician

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

• The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, climb, squat, reach, kneel and lay horizontally as job may require.
• Must be able to climb a ladder and steps as high as 50 feet.
• Able to work in confined spaces depending on the maintenance requirement.
• Must be able to relocate to the United States Army Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands.
• Required to pass a Federal Background Investigation to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
• This position is Unaccompanied and will reside on the island of Roi-Namur.
