Enterprise Technology: This role is part of Enterprise Technology (ET), where we're developing the digital infrastructure needed to build the road to space, with an emphasis on digital capabilities required to advance Blue Origin's mission. Enterprise Technology is the center of excellence for digital technology at Blue Origin, providing oversight and governance to align technology and business strategies.

The primary responsibility of the Technology Adoption Lead is to develop and implement strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption of technology changes and transformation initiatives that impact the enterprise. As a member of the Technology Change & Transformation (TCT) team, within Blue Origin's Enterprise Technology (ET) function, this role focuses technology operations and integration for mergers and acquisitions (M&A), including:

  • Supporting ET teams in developing high-quality Organizational Change Management (OCM) solutions to support the adoption of Blue's enterprise technology initiatives, by leveraging functional expertise, best practices, and knowledge of current industry/subject matter trends.
  • Partnering across ET, business units, and functions to develop and execute plans for stakeholder engagement, communication, training, assessing readiness and adoption, hyper-care, knowledge transfer, and reporting results.
  • Driving awareness, understanding, utilization, and proficiency with technology changes that impact employees in their daily work.
  • Delivering complex work to meet functional or program objectives and drive efficiencies and improvements.
  • Communicating maturely and intentionally in contexts that may require negotiation and diplomacy to influence stakeholder expectations and understanding.
  • Guiding work for themselves and others to ensure proper prioritization, quality, and accuracy and proactively address obstacles to unblock the team.
  • Anticipating resistant behaviors and developing and executing plans to expedite and optimize change adoption by impacted employees and stakeholders.
  • Working closely across ET leaders and teams, as well as other key organizational stakeholders, to increase benefits realization through the achievement of targeted outcomes and value creation from technology change and transformation initiatives.

In this role, the Technology Adoption Lead will:

  • Drive adoption of technology changes within Blue Origin's business units and/or functions, leveraging OCM processes and tools.
  • Leverage OCM assessments (stakeholder assessments, change impact assessments, learning needs assessments, and adoption assessments) to develop change intervention strategies and plans; iterate and adjust as needed.
  • Collaborate with ET teams, TCT colleagues, and suppliers to provide direction for messaging and collateral materials; uphold the Blue Origin brand across all work.
  • Work closely with ET Business Partners to support business units/ functions through technology transitions; including leading onsite hyper-care teams, as needed, and establishing and leading change agent network(s).
  • Identify, analyze, and prepare risk mitigation tactics; track and report issues, and manage anticipated and persistent resistance.
  • Work with ET and business/functional stakeholders to define adoptionmetrics; measure and monitor change progress and adoption.
  • Establish mechanisms and approaches to measure and track results of adoption initiatives over time, post implementation, to ensure the desired value propositions are realized.
  • Quickly develop expertise in multiple topics related to Blue Origin's technology services, initiatives, and capabilities.
  • Create and maintain project plans, budgets, and timelines.
  • Stay up to date on relevant industry insights/trends.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or field related to organizational change management.
  • 7+ years of experience in OCM / Adoption Lead role; consulting and/or agency experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional change and business transformation programs within a variety of companies and industries; M&A experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience with leading OCM programs for transformational technology initiatives.
  • Aerospace and/or manufacturing industry experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Solid understanding ofhow people move through the change process.
  • Acute business acumen; understands complex organizational challenges.
  • Leads by influence and builds authentic, trusting relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Experience with large-scale organizational/ technology change; familiarity with Agile.
  • Expert-level experience with OCM and Program Management Office (PMO) principles, methodology, approaches, strategies, tactics, and tools.
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, written + verbal, including expert meeting / workshop facilitation experience.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and resilient; able to create structure in ambiguous environments.
  • Organized; able manage a vast array of information and lead multiple projects.
  • Critical thinker; advanced problem-solving and root-cause identification skills.
  • Experiments with innovative approaches and takes risks; fails fast and applies learnings to new experiences.
