We are currently seeking a General Plant Manager to oversee our facility located in Huntsville, AL. A successful General Manager will provide strong leadership, world class safety, strategic direction, and a discipline of execution to facilitate fast-paced business growth in support of customer and shareholder objectives. We seek a leader with proven Executive presence that can lead through ATI's core values to drive a culture built on the foundation of safety and integrity, with a passion for innovation and execution, achieved through teamwork, respect and accountability.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a world class safety culture in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
  • Manage planning and execution to meet customer commitments and requirements.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with primary customers, internal and external stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts throughout the operations by the application of lean principles to improve safety, people, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Develop, align, and maintain communications throughout the ATI organization to achieve the business objectives.
  • Provide results driven leadership that facilitates the workforce's ability to safely execute in a high-performance manufacturing environment.
  • Build a climate that empowers and motivates leadership and teamwork at all levels for employees to perform and develop at their highest levels.
  • Strong Leadership capabilities and the ability to demonstrate mentorship, training, and support for the success of employees while achieving departmental, site, customer, and corporate goals and objectives.

The candidate in this position must be able to obtain a Department of Energy (DoE) Security Clearance. Candidates must be willing and able to provide information necessary to verify eligibility and receive authorization to access Controlled Unclassified Information related to U.S. Department of Defense or U.S. Department of Energy programs. Verification and authorization may be required from (1) the U.S. Government, (2) the security organizations of ATI's customers in the U.S. Government's defense and national security supply chains, or (3) ATI's Law Department. Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical, manufacturing, business field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing operation.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with continuous improvement or lean manufacturing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in defense-related environments where a security clearance is required.
  • Experience working with defense contracts.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills to analyze and resolve difficult problems effectively and implement long term solutions.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize key objectives in a fast paced, high-growth environment.
