MISSION :
In the domains of safety,
- To support the RGEP in order to manage the domain in the site.
- To ensure the correct application and efficiency of the site's EP Management System in the site
- To be the technical referent of the domain in the site

KEY EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS

LEADERSHIP

  • This salary position reports directly to the RGEP.
  • Leads the Safety Spoke network to drive ownership and engagement.
  • Serves as safety ambassador to drive the plant safety culture to interdependent state.
  • Serves as the site leader and "expert" for industrial ergonomics.
  • Alerts the RGEP and the managers to any persistent and serious risk situation; Proposes required corrective actions.
  • Takes an active part in the zone safety and ergonomic networks.
  • Gives technical and operational support to Shop Leadership.


SAFETY

  • Ensures compliance of the equipment with safety requirements - carries out machine risk analyses, takes part in the development of progress plans, and verifies their implementation.
  • Contributes to capital project creation, planning, and execution.
  • Assesses, or leads the assessment of safety risks at the work post level.
  • Coordinates and promotes safety awareness through the salary engagement process.
  • Prepares and takes part in internal and external audits in the field of safety.
  • Analyzes incidents and accidents for the plant and assures corrective action plans are established and carried out.
  • Performs self-diagnostics for the site and makes recommendations for action plans.
  • Supports case management of employees after safety incidents.
  • Facilitates root cause analysis investigations after safety incidents.
  • Records and submits safety data internally through internal reporting systems (GAIA, HSER, etc.); Ensures traceability of data indicators and actions in the safety domain.
  • Facilitates Shop Safety meetings with each department.
  • Develops and maintains safety awareness and training programs.
  • Facilitates new-hire and specific safety training.
  • Completes acceptance reviews of new equipment.
  • Works jointly with maintenance sectors to ensure compliance with PSG's (Groupe Safety Programs) - includes Traffic Safety, Electrical Distribution, Working at Heights, Mills & Calendars, Lockout Tagout Tryout, Pinch Points and Behavioral Safety.


ERGONOMICS

  • Improves the overall work experience by implementing and promoting ergonomic solutions, taking part in the development of progress plans, and verifying their implementation.
  • Assesses and/or leads the assessment of ergonomic risks at the work post level; Works collaboratively with operators to ensure "buy-in" of solutions.
  • Coordinates and promotes ergonomic awareness throughout the plant.
  • Analyzes ergonomic incidents and illnesses for the plant and assures corrective action plans are established and carried out.
  • Performs self-diagnostics for the site and makes recommendations for action plans.
  • Develops and maintains ergonomic awareness and training programs.
  • Achieves Michelin ergonomist certification through internal accreditation program.
  • Prepares and takes part in internal and external audits in the field of ergonomics.
  • Records and submits ergonomic data internally through internal reporting systems (GAIA, HSER, etc.); Ensures traceability of data indicators and actions in the ergonomic domain.
