Position: The Department of Business Analytics & Information Systems (BASY) in the Harbert College of Business at Auburn University seeks applications for a nine-month, non-tenure track, non-tenure eligible full-time teaching faculty position as a Lecturer in Information Systems. This is an annual appointment with the renewal contingent upon the availability of funds, the need for services, and satisfactory performance. The effective date of employment will be August 2024.

Responsibilities: The successful candidate's primary responsibility for this position is to teach undergraduate Information Systems courses, mainly but not limited to Introduction to Information Systems and Project Management. The successful candidate will be expected to bring experience, innovation, enthusiasm, and leadership to these courses. The successful candidate is expected to remain current in this field of expertise through professional consulting activities and continuing professional education. In addition to instructional duties, the successful candidate will be expected to serve the university, college, and department.

About the Department & Programs: The Department of Business Analytics & Information Systems comprises 15 tenure track faculty, four full-time lecturers, and one full-time position devoted to the professional development of undergraduate students. The department also routinely hires 6 to 8 adjuncts per semester. The department offers undergraduate degrees in Business Analytics and Information Systems and a Master's and Ph.D. in Information Systems. Qualifications: Successful applicants must possess a master's or MBA degree in information systems or a related field from an AACSB-accredited institution before employment. Applicants must have at least two years of experience teaching Information Systems or related courses at an AACSB-accredited institution of higher education. Candidates with ten years or more of industry experience, principally in Information Systems, are desired. Relevant professional certifications would be an asset. The candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and interpersonal communication skills in the English language. The successful candidate must meet eligibility requirements to work in the U.S. when the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment.
