As the BIM Manager here's the work you'll do:
  • BIM/CIM/CAD Design Technology Application Management -
  • -Responsible for the management, development, and enforcement of BIM/CIM/CAD design technology applications and standards with a strong emphasis on client (USACE, OBO, etc.) requirements, procedures, and standards.
  • -Design, Implement, Maintain and support engineering and architecture applications, including Autodesk (Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D), Bentley (AECOsim, MicroStation, and OpenSite), and Revizto.
  • - Create application deployments and keep current with application hotfixes, patches, and updates.
  • - Configure and support printing/plotting from BIM/CIM/CAD applications.
  • - Develop BIM execution plans (BEP/PxP), provide model management, clash detection, best practice guides, and mentoring to project teams.
  • Design Technology/Information Technology Support -
  • - Provide technical and how-to support to all engineering and architecture departments on BIM/CIM/CAD platforms.
  • - Train Design Technology and cross-train Information Technology (IT) team members on how to support BIM/CIM/CAD applications.
  • - Work with the IT team to determine other hardware and software needs to support BIM/CIM/CAD platforms and the needs of the engineering and architecture departments.
  • - Document Design Technology configurations, processes, and support activities.
  • Assists the Sr. Programmer in developing, maintaining, and supporting custom applications and code for BIM/CIM/CAD programs. This includes developing and directing BIM/CIM/CAD software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.
  • Assists the Design Technology Manger in the management of the department and daily operations to include training and mentoring BIM Coordinators and design staff.
  • Assists the Design Technology Manager in coordinating and leading the monthly BIM/CIM Committee to establish and implement short and long term goals and initiatives, processes and workflows related to BIM/CIM production. This includes researching and identifying industry best practices, tools, and direction related to production.
This role is for you if you have these skills:
  • Knowledge of engineering & architecture design software and production methods.
  • Knowledge of the BIM/CIM production systems and processes among the two major BIM/CIM vendors, Autodesk and Bentley, and knowledge of computer networks and infrastructure, corporate and company security requirements.
  • Skills in critical thinking, mentoring, solving complex problems and issues by gathering data and working within the organization to develop and execute the solution.
  • Ability to develop, organize and execute training across all fields and disciplines as it relates to BIM/CIM.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, ability to listen and ability to speak to large groups and to our clients when required.
And if you have these qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Information Technology or related field. Prior experience may be substituted for degree.
  • 8 + years progressively responsible roles
  • Microsoft and Autodesk Certifications a plus
  • U.S. Citizenship. Ability to obtain clearance for Top Secret.

In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $87,440-$131,160 This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
