Responsibilities and duties
  • Implementation and effectiveness of the QM system agreed with Management
  • Coordinating and controlling all activities relating to securing quality
  • Implementing preventive actions to ensure adherence to quality standards
  • Detecting and recording quality issues / defects in products
  • Taking remedial action and making recommendations, bearing in mind accountabilities (Quality Improvement Plans)
  • Checking to see whether problem-solving measures have been implemented
  • Continuing to monitor processes, deliveries or assembly of non-conforming product until such time as defects or quality issues have been eradicated
  • Developing and implementing quality improvement programs
  • Investigation in the event of damage
  • Making recommendations and introducing technical improvements to quality assurance and testing systems
  • Decisions on concessions
  • Informing Management about quality relevant figures and measures with the aim of improving quality standards
  • Advising all Sections of the Company in matters relevant to quality assurance
  • Monitoring QM activities in other Sections
  • Performing internal audits
  • Carrying out quality planning, control and the dissemination of quality information
  • Involvement in decisions on the use of production systems
  • Analysis of the costs of quality in conjunction with other Sections
  • Implementation, instigation and co-ordination of FMEA's and quality analysis
  • Career planning support for QA employees. Includes training requirements and cross training within department.
  • Enforce all safety regulations and requirements.

Specific function related duties
  • Management of new part or engineering change approvals (PPAP Process)
  • Coordinating change implementation
  • Executing and monitoring of all planning work in CRH North America, Inc. located in Clanton and cooperation with CRH-SG operational departments and Detroit R & D.
  • Participating in Material Review Board to disposition nonconforming product.
  • Coordinating testing of assemblies and finished parts
  • Instigating defect reports, following up and implementing corrective measures

Qualifications
  • Possess solid applied Statistical-Process-Control experience.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in an assembly manufacturing environment.
  • Good PC skills, Excel, Word etc.
  • Experience in quality automotive systems certification standards and implementation.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Theoretical and practical experience with measuring equipment.
  • Working knowledge of German is an advantage but not required.
  • Good business administration skills
  • Ability to work well with other departments; good communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills
  • Good procedure writing skills.
