Job location - Opelika Site

IS4S Opelika specializes in hands-on Defense R&D programs. Our engineers are expected to design, execute, analyze, and present novel concepts and experiments. Individuals with initiative, self-management, creativity, and a get-it-done attitude will thrive at our company. Our engineers use the following skill sets:

Basics design
CAD
Shop tools
Additive manufacturing
Data acquisition
Novel sensor applications
Project management
Contractor oversight
Data processing/analysis
Presentation
Navigating government regulations
Proposal writing

As Co-ops you will be expected to aid the engineers in fulfilling their contract goals with the expectation that you will be trained to take on similar responsibilities and abilities.

At IS4S, Co-ops will have the opportunity to develop a wide variety of skill sets, such as:

Experimental energetic and small arms test execution
Mechanical design and fabrication
PCB/microcontroller design and assembly
Additive manufacturing
Facility development
