Job Title: Supply Chain Specialist

Job Purpose:

* Under limited supervision, developing and enhancing the supply chain through vendor relationships and both short and long-term supply management solutions
* Coordinating sourcing decisions and cost management strategies in support of both purchasing and program management at North American plants.
* Working in conjunction with purchasing and program management to make recommendations and/or take appropriate actions to actively impact and augment current sourcing strategies and cost structures.

Nature of Duties:

* Position requires person to be a professional, self motivated person with excellent negotiation skills, have excellent problem solving skills in order to resolve a wide range of issues involving plant and/or supplier inquiries, complaints, or special requests.
* Use a variety of tools and systems, which include Oracle, Excel, ACES, WALT.
* Interfacing with the supply base, supply chain peers and plant level teams to develop strategies, best practices and process standardization for key supply chain focus areas, to include continuity of supply and inventory management.
* Performing data analysis and interpretation to make recommendations and construct viable solutions to critical supply chain escalations which affect customer commitment and result in negative financial impact.
* Working with purchasing and program management to insure continuity of material supply line while coordinating inventory balance for plant and customer base across the region.
* Preparing reports on areas of responsibility and ensuring proper tracking and adherence to supply chain guidelines throughout the region.
* Monitor assigned company locations/plants on standard supply chain procedures, and expectations on all issues related to business operations maximization and assurance of supply
* Professional communication and interaction with Executive Management internally and externally to resolve critical issues and accomplish desired results for Sanmina.

Education/Experience:

* Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business or similar with 3 years of Supply Chain related experience or 10 years of Supply Chain experience in lieu of degree
* Excellent negotiating skills
* Strong aptitude for numerical and other business analysis
* Ability to independently manage assigned projects to completion
* Proficiency in MS Office products, especially Excel
* Experience with Oracle is highly desirable.
* Excellent written and verbal business communication skills
* Strong problem solving skills
* Team player willing to work with all facets of business community
* Travel as required (domestically or internationally)
