Job Description

Advanced Systems Design is seeking a Web Applications Programmer for our client located in Montgomery, AL.

Job Overview:

Perform complex analysis, design, development, and maintenance of enterprise-level WEB-based systems. Develop system and program documentation. Perform testing of modifications and enhancements to ensure system integrity. Debug and resolve production problems using system development processes and standards as defined. Transfer of knowledge and skills to junior-level programmers may also be needed. Possesses a strong understanding of systems programming, graphical user interfaces, and control languages. Modifies, installs and prepares technical documentation for system software applications. Diagnoses, isolates, and debugs software problems and performs problem resolution. Works on multiple products, activities, and projects as a project team member. Works on moderately complex tasks, projects, activities, or support issues that require increased skill in multiple technical environments and develops expertise to support multiple systems. May coach more junior technical staff.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in verifiable systems administration and computer programming for a Web-based Environment.
  • Experience in and MVC
  • Software languages: , C#.Net, , T-SQL, JAVA Script, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, JQuery, JSON
  • This individual must be able to learn current software systems and tools.
  • The successful candidate must have the ability to understand business requirements and assist with documentation using the MS Office Suite.
  • The ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems is also a skill that is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Bootstrap 4.0, Regular Expressions, Core, TFS and/or GIT
  • Develop new or enhance programs based on technical specifications presented;
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts concerning testing and training;
  • Analyze and resolve technical problems and software bugs;
  • Maintain and enhance existing applications;
  • Work independently as well as with other team members;
  • Multi-Task and work on multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment;
  • Perform all or part of the full life cycle development process with an emphasis on developing business applications;
  • Support existing applications, modifying/enhancing them and current needs, and implementing the changes necessary as the needs of the business unit change;
  • Develop and document workarounds for functional issues; Troubleshoot real-time production issues;
  • Be responsible for supporting testing of enhancements and fixes;
  • Be capable of recommending solutions and identifying required program corrections;
  • Contribute towards enterprise-wide metrics collection and participate in action plans;
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of Service Requests raised by clients;
  • Document new/changed operational procedures;
  • Ensure static data/configuration/setups are accurate;
  • Participate in peer review processes.
  • Respond in a flexible manner and to re-prioritize work as situations change.

Education:

Required Bachelor's Degree in any related field

Relevant work experience above the required minimum
